As science and research are facing challenges of various kinds these days, researchers, scientists, educators and supporters around the world are currently getting together to stress the vital role of science and its importance in all aspects of everyday life.
On the occasion of Earth Day, on 22 April 2017, the March for Science will be organised as a global initiative to take a stand for science.

“The March for Science is a celebration of science. It's not only about scientists and politicians; it is about the very real role that science plays in each of our lives and the need to respect and encourage research that gives us insight into the world.”
(from the mission statement of the initiative, https://www.marchforscience.com/mission/)

The field of science teaches critical thinking, asking questions, and drawing conclusions based on evidence. Everyone, regardless of their background, can profit from these qualities. The exchange of different points of view and approaches significantly contributes to the advance of new insights and innovative ideas.
With our events and courses, we try to encourage interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration and offer a wide variety of non-specialist as well as advanced educational opportunities to support a new generation of young scientists.
