The Italian team of University of Bologna "Onda Solare", the only European team participant,  won the American Solar Challenge (Multi Occupant Vehicle Class), the competition to design, build, and drive solar-powered cars in a cross-country time/distance rally event. The American Solar Challenge (ASC) is a multi-day, 1,500-2,000 mile cross-country endurance rally across North America.

Emilia 4 won other ASC 2018 awards: Best Battery Pack Design and Best Mechanical System Design

Emilia 4 presented on 11 June at the Ferrari museum in Maranello.

The last year "Onda Solare" with Emilia 3 won "Eco Race 2017" category "Solar", the competition reserved for electric vehicles was held in France at the Albi circuit (12-14 May 2017). More info
