The 11th PRACE Regular Call for Proposals yielded 107 eligible proposals of which 18 were awarded for a total of more than 500 million core hours.
The 18 awarded projects are led by Principal Investigators from 7 different European countries (6 from Italy, 4 from England, 3 from France, 2 from Sweden and 1 from Belgium, Portugal and Switzerland).

6 awarded projects with PI from Italy (33% of the projects) received 260 million core hours (50% of the total). 

The largest allocation under the 11th Call is the project entitled "CONTQCDNf3 - The continuum limit of QCD with three dynamical quark flavours" led by Dr. Mauro Papinutto from University La Sapienza Rome. The project received 74 million Core Hours on FERMI @ CINECA, Italy and is also supported by the DFG (German Research Foundation).

The awarded projects received 389 million core hours (75% of the total hours) on Fermi @ CINECA (Italy) and 124 on MareNostrum @ BSC (Spain).

Seven overall scientific domains are represented: 3 projects are linked to the fields of Biochemistry, Bioinformatics and Life Sciences; 4 to Chemistry; 2 to Earth System Sciences; 2 to Engineering; 3 to Fundamental Physics; 1 to Mathematics and Computer Sciences and 3 to Universe Sciences.

Selected proposals will receive allocations to PRACE resources from September 2015 to September 2016.

The 12th Call for Proposals for PRACE Project Access (Tier-0) will open in September 2015.
Selected proposals will receive allocations to PRACE resources from March 2016 to March 2017.
