The European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) is the flagship event of the European Big Data and Data-Driven AI Research and Innovation community organised by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and the European Commission (DG CNECT). The 2020 edition of the EBDVF will take place between the 3rd and the 5th of November 2020 in Berlin and online, and it is organised in collaboration with DFKI, Plattform Industrie 4.0, Plattform Lernende Systeme and Berlin Partner.

On Wednesday, November 4th 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm, Andrew Emerson (Speaker), Application specialist of Cineca, will present Cineca's HPC work to fight COVID-19, during "the Parallel Session on the role and impact of research programmes and projects leveraging AI and Big Data to fight COVID 19".

In this session, the speakers will discuss the use of Big Data, Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence technologies in the research programmes and projects which were launched at the very beginning of the COVID19 crisis, thanks to the European Commission and national governments prompt reaction in establishing specific calls for projects and initiatives for supporting R&I activities aimed at addressing the COVID 19 challenges.
