Want to spend the summer working at a European HPC Center?
Summer of HPC is a PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) programme that offers summer placements at Cineca or an other HPC centres across Europe, in a PRACE partner country. This programme will offer to late stage undergraduates and early stage postgraduate students the opportunity to spend two months of the summer at a HPC center. Twenty students will go to 10 PRACE member centres around Europe (2 to each centre), where they will work on PRACE related projects for 2 months during the summer (July / August).
The 2015 projects at Cineca are:
- Visualization tool for olfactory bulb data - Co-ordinator: F. Delli Ponti (Cineca)
- Exploring Mars Surface – 3D Visualization of post processed MARSIS data - Co-ordinator: M. Guarrasi (Cineca)
Applications are welcome from all disciplines. Some coding knowledge is a prerequisite but the most important attribute is a desire to learn, and share, more about HPC.
