Duration in months: 9

Problem Description

Development of an innovative market solution based on AI and EO (high resolution satellite data) for Port Authorities to help them to water quality assessment and decision making for climate change mitigation.

Goals

New services

Challenges

Provide insights and forecasts on water quality parameters up to 2 km from the port coast, to enable better decision-making, as well as contributing to European Common Green Deal data.

Innovation results

- Advanced Big Data system architecture definition to automatically daily water quality parameters retrieve, store, process, and visualization in an easy-to use WebApp through maps and graphs.- Generation of an AI Model for forecasting (24-48 and 72 hours) the concentration of three main water quality parameters with a spatial resolution of 100x100m, improving the current 4x4 km spatial resolution of the forecasted products offered by CMEMS.
